The University of Iceland is a state university, situated in the heart of Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. It was established 17th June 1911 and is one of the 300 best universities in the World according to Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The University of Iceland offers nearly four hundred undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. It is organised into five academic schools, and 25 faculties.
