The Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) cooperates in research and teaching through many active partnerships with universities and research institutes around the world. Members of all departments are involved in international research networks and maintain intensive international exchange.
The EUPRHA’s contributing partner will be the Institute for International Peace and Armed Conflict (IFHV) at Ruhr-Universität Bochum where the NOHA Master’s Programme is attached to. Within the IFHV research is based on the problems and dynamics of the humanitarian complex. Based upon the tradition of grounded research in the field of international humanitarian law, the IFHV has extended its research into the field of humanitarian studies.
With the support of the European Commission NOHA offers an Erasmus Mundus “Joint European Master’s Programme in International Humanitarian Action” aiming at the enhancement and professionalization in the highly vocational sector of international humanitarian action. Guided by its vision and mission NOHA is committed to improve the humanitarian sector through high quality education and applied training for humanitarian action.
