EUPRHA will be hosted by CENDEP - the Centre for Development and Emergency Practice - situated in the School of Architecture.CENDEP provides a unique academic setting for the study of humanitarian action, conflict transformation, disaster management and international development.
CENDEP’s research programme on humanitarian practice currently focuses on the quality of humanitarian interventions, the development of improved data collection methods, capacity building and the role of local populations in humanitarian programming. The majority of CENDEP's research and teaching staff are simultaneously educators and practitioners. Their combined practical experience includes work with Oxfam, Save the Children UK, Action Aid, the Humanitarian Policy Group of the Overseas Development Institute (UK), CARE International, the European Refugee Fund (EU), Amnesty International, UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Council of Europe, , the UN Development Program, USAID, UNWRA, the World Bank and many other. CENDEP is a full academic member of ALNAP, Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action.
