The Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences was established on June 5, 2002 with the decret from the Rector of Comenius University. In the beginning the programme was consisted of courses in social sciences - and gradually curricula based social psychology, political science, European studies and international relations, social anthropology, public policy and economics were created.
The lecturers and researchers at FSES CU are knowledgeable experts in several areas: political science, psychology, anthropology, public policy and public administration, sociology, international relations, history, law, economics, diplomacy and philosophy. The lecturers and researchers at FSES CU take use of the valuable experiences from studying, from the participation and leadership in international research projects and from the research stays at prestigious foreign universities and scientific workplaces. Number of visiting professors and lecturers from foreign universities and research institutions enriching the educational process contributes in creating an atmosphere of mutual understanding and intercultural communication.
